- Right now, only middle and high school students may submit directly to Unbound.
- Submissions can be any form of creative writing: poem, prose, personal essay, etc. Longer pieces may be excerpted or posted in parts.
- Submissions can be made through Badgerdog workshop instructors or by emailing documents to our Education programs manager, Cecily Sailer, at csailer at austinlibrary.org.
- Entries should be typed in 12 pt. Times or Times New Roman font, double-spaced and submitted as Microsoft Word or Rich Text Format files.
- When submitting, please include the title of the piece, the author’s name, the author’s grade, and the author’s school.
- All work must be original to the author. Although we may accept work that has appeared in our print anthologies, we prefer to feature previously unpublished pieces.
- The work you submit should be carefully proofread and edited. We encourage you to have workshop instructors, teachers, mentors, etc. read your work before you submit it. We reserve the right to edit submissions before posting.
